Here are some of the FAQ's we regularly receive

Q. How do I organise an estimate?
A. Simply drive in to 136 Newell Street in Bungalow between Monday and Thursday from 7am to 5pm, or Friday from 7am to 4pm, Saturday by appointment only, please contact us for Saturday morning bookings, the inspection of your vehicle damage should only take 5-10 minutes of your time.

Alternatively, You can organise an estimate by filling in the ‘Get a Quote’ form online and a Willmot Specialist will get back to you with a quote as soon as possible.

If your vehicle is not drivable, please contact reception to organise towing.

Q. How much do you charge for an estimate?
A. There are no charges on estimates and are obligation free. Possible charges for a full strip down on heavy impacted vehicles may apply, please talk to one of our friendly Estimators.

Q. Can you do servicing as well?
A. We can organise a service on your behalf while your vehicle is off the road through our mechanic. Other services we have available while your vehicle is off the road, include:

Q. Do I have to get more than one estimate for my insurer or third party at fault?
A. Absolutely not. You have choice of repairer.

Q. Will my new car warranty still be valid if I repair my car with you?
A. Absolutely, all genuine parts are used for cars in warranty and all repairs are carried out to manufacturers specifications by our highly trained technicians.

Q. What type of repairs do you do?
A. We specialise in autobody collision repairs - minor to major, all autobody paint work, chassis straightening and many more, please call if you have any questions or anything out of the ordinary.

Q. What do I need to do when dropping off my car for repairs?

Q. Can quoted costs you provide, possibly change?
A. All estimates are based on a visual inspection and further damages may be evident upon dismantle of your vehicle for repairs. You will be notified of any additional costs by your Willmot Specialist, parts pricing is only valid for 30 days.

Q. When will my car be ready?
A. Depending on the severity of your vehicles damage, some repairs are more labour intensive. Approximate time frames will be provided to you at the estimate stage. What is important is we return your car with quality repairs and back to pre-accident condition. Please read The Process on our website for further information.

Q. Can you assist with a replacement vehicle, while my car is being repaired with you?
A. You may be entitled to a hire car through your insurance, check with your insurer. We may be able to assist you by organising transport to and from your vehicle while it’s being repaired at Willmot. Please speak to our team today to assist you with this.

Q. How do I lodge a claim with my insurance company?
A. Each insurance company has several options – by phone or online. You are welcome to lodge at our facility while you are waiting for your estimate to be prepared. If you are engaged with a broker, you will need to contact them to organise the lodgment.

Q. Do I need to notify my insurance provider before obtaining a quote for repairs?
A. Not necessarily, speak to us today for a quote and we’ll be able to assist you further and you’re able to use our facility to lodge your claim.

Q. When can you repair my vehicle?
A. Generally repairs can be carried out as soon as parts arrive. If no parts are required, please give our bookings department a call or email on bookings@wsrs.com.au with your details to check availability.

Q. Do you warrant your repairs?
A. Yes, A lifetime warranty on our workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle. This is not transferrable to a new owner of the vehicle.

Q. I can’t get my car there during work hours.
A. Saturday’s are available for inspection and collection by appointment. We can also provide digital quotes for repairs or you can send through a quote request on our website. Please call our office for early or late drop offs for bookings.

Q. What payment method options do you have?
A. We accept cash and card. EFTPOS is available at our office, you can call also call to pay by phone. Direct Deposit can be arranged, just ask reception for details or email reception@wsrs.com.au Please note we do not accept AMEX, Diners or Cheques.

Q. Do you offer payment plans?
A. You are welcome to make payments prior and during repairs however, payment must be received in full to release the vehicle.

Q. Are you an accredited repairer for my insurance provider?
A. We do work for every insurer; you just simply need to tell your insurer that you want your car repaired by a Willmot Specialist.

Q. Can I get a quote for repairs over the phone or online?
A. Yes, you can request for a quote online through our website, and a Willmot Specialist will contact you. We are unable to provide any estimates without images or a visual inspection.

Q. Do you provide towing services?
A. We can arrange a tow for you, call our friendly team on (07) 4054 3233 and speak to Reception.

Q. How long does the insurance process take?
A. Lodging a claim should only take 10 minutes, once you have obtained your claim number, the process is streamlined from here on in from our end. Every insurance company has their own processes and can take up to 3 working days to receive an authority to proceed with repairs depending on the assessment complexity.

At the scene of an accident

Stay calm and check your surroundings. Ensure everyone involved is safe and call emergency services if required and you are able.

Take images of the scene and then allow flow of traffic where possible. If you are unable to move your vehicles turn on your hazard lights.

Approach the other parties involved and exchanged details – Name, Address, Drivers Licence, Car details and Registration, Insurance details where possible and contact phone numbers.

For your protection, it’s best not to admit fault or discuss who is at fault with others involved.

If someone at the scene isn’t willing to co-operate, ensure you take down their registration, or take a photo on your phone. If there were any witnesses, take down their details as well.

Call the police if property has been damaged, if the other party hasn’t stopped at the scene or not willing to exchange details. Download the Police link guide on our website.

Take images at the scene – vehicle/s involved ensuring you capture registration plates and damages incurred to all vehicles/property involved.

If your car is driveable, please feel free to drop in anytime during trading hours for an estimate and lodge your claim.

If your car requires a tow, you can either call a towing company or use any that may be already at the scene, you can contact your insurance company to have the tow arranged or you can call Willmot Smash Repair Specialist, whichever is convenient for you at the time.

If you have any doubts or not feeling confident in driving your vehicle, it is probably best to have it towed.
